Spain is part of the Schengen area. UK passport holders can travel visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.However, from Q4 2026, all UK travellers to Spain will need to apply for ETIAS (€7, valid 3 years) before travel. EES (Entry/Exit System) is already live, biometric fingerprints and facial scans replace passport stamps at first entry. Expect slightly longer queues at first entry.

Peak dates (May to June, September to October, Easter, Christmas) sell out 8 to 12 weeks in advance. April, November, and February remain the sweet spots, great weather, softer prices, fewer crowds.
